Stow Away Tote Bag
The Stand 'N Stow bag is a simple sack that stands up while you pack it, then easily folds and stows away. There are 3 different sizes to choose from. The small one makes a great lunch bag, while the medium size makes a good grocery bag. We made the large size which is nice to keep in the car or closet as an organizer. These were made with Peltex 71F one sided fusible interfacing. The blue geometric print is a light weight upholstery lined with canvas. Both bird bags are made of 100% cotton fabric. The gray and pink flower fabric is a medium weight upholstery with a lightweight upholstery as the lining. We decided to add pink piping to both sides of the straps to give the bag a little more pizzazz.

Pin Cushion & Bowl Cozies
Shaun made these two bowl cozies and large pin cushion from one of our newer collections, Alluring Butterflies by Benartex. Patterns for the bowl cozy and octagonal pin cushion are available for sale. These projects come together rather quickly and can be done in under an hour.

Wave Tote Bag
This is the bag we made from our Shimmering Twilight fabric collection by Benartex Fabrics. It features a unique wave design that wraps around the entire bag, transitioning from one color to another. The inside features an ombre pattern pocket that can either be lavender or blue. It also has a zipper pocket on the opposite side for extra storage. It’s a super easy way to showcase a fabric collection or some favorites pieces in your fabric stash. What’s great about this pattern is that it can easily translate into something other than a tote, such as a focal point in a quilt, a table topper, or a wall hanging! Purchase the Shimmering Twilight tote kit here. Looking for the pattern only? Click here.

Fabric Pumpkins
We’ve been making fabric pumpkins with cinnamon stick stems. We’ve made quite the pumpkin patch. It’s always fun picking out various fabrics to use.. cotton, velvet, lace, taffeta. They’re fun to make and dress up any fall occasion. They make perfect table accessories. Some photos show the final result of our pumpkin patch! We added wire, ribbon, and leaves to give them their finishing touches. We used them for Jackie and Dave’s Baby shower which was fall themed. Anyone interested can pick up the pattern in store.

Professor McG Costume
This coat was made for the character “Professor McG” in Puffs at the Levoy. Using a pattern for a Victorian overcoat as a base with custom drafted sleeves, Shaun made this out of canvas and upholstery fabrics. Shaun is costuming and directing the play. The show opens this Friday, October 6th and runs til October 8th. For more info or to purchase tickets (and see all the great costumes made..), visit levoy.net.

Ripped Jean Chaps
With all the shop hop stuff going on last week, we didn’t get an chance to post Shaun’s outfit from the pink concert! He made jean chaps from denim and used a technique that’s similar to what they use in a rag quilt… all seams exposed. The fringe was cut on the bias so that it would curl after it was washed. We love seeing his projects! He’s always so creative!

Wedding Singer Costumes
Shaun was the costume designer and director of The Wedding Singer at the Levoy Theatre. These are three projects that he creat
ed for the production. The white corset was made for a heavy metal bride. The fully boned bustier is custom fit to the actress with appliqués recycled from an old wedding dress. If you missed out on the show, or want to see more of Shaun's work, keep an eye on our project pages and facebook page!

Mesh Beach Totes
Come join us in making a mesh tote bag! This tote bag comes together quickly and is great for the summer season. Bring it to the beach and you won’t need to worry about sand getting trapped in the bottom of the bag. Whether you’re using it for toys or a towel, you’re bound to get lots of use out of it!
We chose cotton fabric and athletic mesh fabric for the ones we’ve made so far, but a lightweight upholstery would also work. Batting is fusible fleece that comes in two different weight options depending on your preference.

Scrap Fabric Bowl
Ever get hung up on a big project and need a break? Make a scrap fabric bowl! With an hour or two of your time and for less than $10 you can make this. We sell scrap bags of coordinating colors/collections of fabric too. We decided to go large with this bowl and used 20 yards of cording + 3 scrap bags… but in the past we’ve made smaller ones which are just as cute/useful. The fabric is Shimmering Twilight from Benartex.
